Chesil Valley,

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Residential Areas,

Stemming out from the town centre, there are four main roads where people live.
The houses vary in size and quality, just like in every other town, and there's even a small appartment block.
There are often back gardens, and depending on the free time of the occupant, they can sometimes be well kept and others brown and overgrown.

No New Posts Eden Shopping Centre,

The Eden shopping centre in all it's glory, is the main feature of the town centre.
It's a big square of paving, with a huge glass roof supported on pillars. Underneath is usually a crowd of people which seems to do the impossible task of exceeding the town population. The sides are lined with your average department stores, clothes shops and supermarkets.
On Tuesday's, a local market is set up for people to sell their own goods. This is usually a pleasant event for most residents to come and get togethe.

No New Posts The Skate Park,

Known simply as 'the skate park', it's the only one around so there's no room for error.
It's no longer really used for skating, and is pretty overgrown with a rundown air about it.

No New Posts Village Hall,

Despite the fact that Chesil Valley can hardly be described as a village, there is still a village hall.
It's where town meetings are held, and is also often used for nativity plays, school dances and Christmas and Halloween parties.

No New Posts The Common,

The common, it's name derived from the term 'common land', is a medium-sized field outside the village hall.
It's a family-friendly spot, and parents often take their young children here to let them run about without a leash.

No New Posts Blue Underground,

The nightclub that is literally underground.
In the basement of a sort of unsturdy old warehouse, strobe lights and a huge sound system make the otherwise dillapadated area a hotspot for the town's youth.

No New Posts Top Wok, - 1 Viewing

Top Wok is literally the only place to get take-out.
Contrary to the somewhat misleading name, Top Wok does not sell Chinese food at all, but in fact the English favourite of fish and chips.

No New Posts Metro,

The obselete train station.
Before Chesil Valley became a colonised town and was erased from the map, it was once a bustling hive of tourist activity and the train station was a key part of this.
Now it's been shut down, it's just a ghostly place to come and hang around and makes for an artistic and interesting walk along the tracks.

No New Posts Holy Trinity Church,

The Holy Trinity church is a common place of worship.
Every Sunday you can find this place packed to bursting point.
Only a very select few decide to buck tradition and not attend.

No New Posts Grangers Woodland,

Chesil Valley is a valley after all. The whole town is surrounded by thick woodland and rolling hills.
The land the woodland covers is owned by the long since died out Granger family, although it still bears their name in colloquial speech as a mark of half-assed respect.

Chesil Academy,

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Reception,

The school reception.
Polishing floors and rich furnishings make it pleasing to the eye. It contains all the functional necessities, like chairs and a reception desk, which is often unmanned.
A friendly and warm front to the school building, with the possible exception of the somewhat aggravating plastic potted plans.

No New Posts Hallways,

Just like every other academy, this one has hallways.
They tend to be rather on the long side, but wide enough to accomadate three students walking side by side.
Lit by typical fluroscent lighting, but panneled with stately dark wood and adorned sporadically with bare looking notice boards.

No New Posts Cafeteria,

The cafeteria is an overly large and well lit room. The tables and chairs all match impeccably and are stretched out as far as the eye can see.
Students and staff all eat here in relative harmony and this is often where visitors are taken to sit as it's one of the most pleasant rooms in the school.

No New Posts Classrooms,

The unconventional classrooms mostly fit the pattern of the rest of the school, as in that they're almost unnecessarily big for the amount of students.
They aren't laid out in a sensible way, and it's not unusual to find a science lab in betwen a language room and a utility cupboard.
All the typical subjects are catered for.

No New Posts Library,

The expansive library the academy is home to. It's on the second floor...and in fact practically takes up the whole of the second floor.
The bookcases are tall and stretch up to the ceiling, and the books aren't very recent as not much time is available for restocking. But everything is kept in pristine condition and the students tend to feel at home here.

No New Posts Gym,

With high ceilings and a reputation for being well equipped, the interior gym here at the academy has the potential to be known as one of the best in the country.
It's well lit with windows placed at regular intervals, high up on the walls, and there are faded markings on the floor to make up the courts that everyone ignores. It always seems to be dusty.

No New Posts Grounds,

There's a large area of grass that surrounds the school building and from the front there is a long gravel drive that leads to the academy gates.
Out back, there's a track and playing fields and also a lot of free grass space for lounging around on summer days.
There's tarmac courts but the paving isn't as level as it perhaps should be, and a sheltered courtyard which is often used by yonger students during the day, and loitering older students after school hours.
