Now how many lovers would stay
Just to put up with this shit day after day?
Now how did we wind up this way?
Watching our mouths for the words that we say.

simply a look can break your heart.
eye colour, Bright blue
hair colour, Dark brown
height, 5'11"
description, Standing at the perfectly reasonable height of 5'11", Robyn is tall for a girl and tends to tower over her female peers. With a slender and well shaped body and a pretty and balanced face, she is something to look at, although she often goes overlooked due to her wallflower like qualities. Her skin is fair and unblemished, which is a shocking contrast to her dark brown hair and crystal blue eyes. Her hair is naturally curly and sometimes she'll leave it down, but often ties it up so it's out of her way and more practical. She's a natural beauty, a diamond in the rough sort of thing, and has the potential to be stunning if she put in a little effort, but she rarely does. She has other ways of getting what she wants without drawing attention to herself.
clothing, Robyn does have her outlets of expressing herself, and this is with her clothes. She's not bold persay, but often likes to wear pretty solid colours in soft plain dresses. Her favourite dress is an emerald green colour and she wears it often, either over jeans, or tights or just on it's own. If she's not feeling so great, she'll just wear a pair of faded jeans and a loose or baggy t-shirt or jumper. She borrows clothes from her brothers often, and with no female influences, there's no one to remind her that looking so shapeless really doesn't do much for her potential heart-breaking figure.
i am the mess you chose.
good traits, Robyn is soft-spoken and polite, but usually only to adults and teachers, as she and her peers mostly have a 'you ignore me and I'll ignore you' unspoken agreement, which works well for her. She's modest; never one to boast her own strengths as she firmly believes that there's always someone better, and selfless; always putting everyone before herself and her own wellbeing, even if they're her worst enemy. Not that she really has enemies. Hardworking and dedicated, she's never one to leave a job undone and hates when she hasn't done something to the very best of her ability. She's not exactly maternal, but definitely bordering on it, and loves to take care of other people as she feels as if she's doing something that's worthwhile and she has the patience to do it. She certainly does have a lot of patience, she could sit dead still and silent forever to wait for something that will never happen if she wated to, but fortunately that desire's never really taken her. There's a really soft sort of nature to her, as she's caring and kind and extremely gentle. There's also a sort of irrevocable pull around her that makes her fascinating to the more weakminded members of the community who get distracted easily by such magnetism. She reckons that this has something to do with her power, and that it's a natural way of drawing people in so she can make them do whatever she wants, which she hates. She's reasonably intelligent; she's no genius or anything but she's above average and has a good understanding of how things work, but particularly of how people work. People are something that she really gets, even if she rarely interacts with others.
bad traits, Along with the soft-spoken and quiet nature of hers, there lies a deeper problem. She's cripplingly shy and publicy uncoordinated, so she goes bright red the second she starts talking to someone else or even when people look at her. She gets very nervous easily, worrying a lot about everything and nothing at all, which can lead to stuttering and more blushing and a lot of stress. The quiet part of her genetic make-up can go very wrong very easily, and she loses her voice a lot as she sometimes goes days without speaking. This can make her quite depressed, and she'll decide to just stop speaking entirely. She's very good at this, and when she was 15, she spent 18 months not talking at all. Highly cynical, the good brain she's got on her means that she doesn't believe things very easily and has little or no faith in things, but particularly in other people. Her nature means that people trust her, but as she can hardly ever trust anyone back, she loses friends as quickly as she makes them, so most people have just stopped trying. Unable to see the good in anyone or anything, this can also lead to her being slightly depressed and helps fuel to the fire of his distrust with humanity. She also can't see the worth or good in herself, believing herself to be a monster or a genetic accident. She's quite vulnerable, and can be got to very easily by anything at all as she's perhaps overly sensitive, and is also very insecure because of this.
habits, Robyn has precious few habits. She's been known to hum softly under her breath. She often drums her fingers against things. She scrapes the skin of her fingers around her nails when she's nervous. She smiles timidly when people look at her, and blushes an awful lot.

place of birth, New York
date of birth, 11th November
history, Robyn was born on the 11th of November, half an hour after her twin brother in New York. Her parents already had three boys, so they were both, especially her father, overjoyed to have a daughter. When she was three years old and after the birth of her fifth and youngest brother, the family relocated to London, so she's grown up there. She loved her early childhood, as she loved the loud noises and sprawling bigness of the city, and she loved when her family would all go out to places like Hyde Park, or just to wander the city they all loved so much. Her family were very loving and they always had enough money to go around as her parents lived on very large sums of inheritance money and neither needed to work. Although, her father still did. He was a lecturer at a college, and she grew up with a lot of respect for him because of this. He also used to take her to work with him sometimes where his students would all make a fuss of her, because her mother suffered from bad migraines and was often too sick to watch her children.
When she was nine, it emerged that her father had been having an affair with one of his students. He lost his job, he lost his wife, and he lost his kids. Robyn hasn't seen him since. He broke her heart and destroyed all of the respect she had for him, so she didn't even want to see him. Her mother took the recent divorce as a sign to move, so they did. She took all of her children from the place they loved and moved them out to the middle of nowhere where they lived in a converted barn house. Robyn and her siblings hated this, but due to her mothers fragile state none of them said anything to her about it, and they all got used to it eventually.
The years went by and her mother still didn't recover from this fragile state. Instead, she started to get irrationally angry at her children and would always snap at them, and whenever they snapped back she would burst into tears. Robyn and her brothers learnt to be very careful around her and not push her too much, which often meant just taking the verbal abuse that they received. When she was twelve, her brother Kenneth called them all into his room and showed them that he could do really strange things. He said it'd been happening for a while, and he had a gift, and then he showed them exactly what he could do by closing his eyes and disappearing. Around six months later, her twin Toby discovered that he too could do strange things, when he closed his eyes and jumped, and then just kept rising. Robyn started wishing that she had gifts too, as did her other brothers, but none of them were so lucky.
One day, just before she turned fifteen, her mother started having a go at her when she'd done nothing wrong. Robyn snapped and started shouting back at her mother, who as usual burst into tears. This just made Robyn angrier, and she said so, shouting that her mother always did this and always hid behind tragedy to hide her own failings, and that she should just grow up and get over it. Her mother screamed things back at her, until eventually Robyn stated 'I'm dead to you,' and stormed out of the house.
When she came back in the early hours of the morning, she was surprised to find her whole family sitting up in the living room. The only people who could even see her were Kenneth and Toby, who'd been out when her and her mother had rowed, and they were very surprised to see her there. She found out that her mother, and all her brothers who had heard her speak were now convinced that she was in fact, dead.
Robyn was very alarmed by this, and was so scared of what she'd done. She didn't understand how it worked, or how she'd done it and decided never to say a word ever again. Living in her house with her mother and three brothers that were convinced she was dead and going through the mourning process was agony, but she couldn't do anything about it. Kenneth and Toby were careful never to speak to her when the others were around in case they seemed insane, so she rarely had contact with the brothers who knew the truth. When she was about sixteen and a half, Toby got to talking to her. He said they should test out what she could do, or they'd never know. After much persuasion, she finally decided to speak again. She tried saying all sorts of harmless things to her brothers, trying to convince them that they were true, just as she'd convinced her mother that she was dead in one throwaway comment in a row. Eventually, they realised that she really had to want what she was saying to be true or really really mean it. She's very careful with what she says now, needless to say, but it does come in handy when she wants to win a fight. Or if she needs something, she can say to someone 'give that to me' and they will. Or in even worse situations, she can say 'go jump off a cliff' and that person will go and do that - she learnt that the hard way after telling her twin to jump out of a window during an argument, and then had to rapidly remedy it by telling him to stay away from windows. Unfortunately, he now stays away from windows permanently.
A few months ago, people turned up to take them away. Her and Kenneth and Toby were taken away from there home and forcibly moved to Chesil Valley. She doesn't mind that much as it's a relief to be out of the house and is still sort of awkwardly settling in.
